EL GRANADA, CA, October 05, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Mary-Anna Rae, User Experience Consultant for Macys.com, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in user experience research.

An expert in ethnography who has always been interested in digital technology, Ms. Rae currently works as a user experience consultant for Macys.com. Her 15 years of professional experience include user research on the clinical library and clinical information systems at Kaiser Permanente.

Ms. Rae earned a master's degree at UCSB and advanced to candidacy for a doctorate in 1998 in educational psychology, specializing in language, culture, and literacy. She also holds a life teaching credential in English from Loyola Marymount University with a certificate in bilingual education. Ms. Rae is a current member of the Bay Area Chapter of the Association of Computing Machinery and the American Society for Information Science and Technology. She is a former member of the National Council of Teachers of English and the California Association of Teachers of English.
Ms. Rae continues to race outrigger canoes in her free time, having begun in 1993 with a team that won first place in the traditional koa class of the Moloka'i Channel Crossing.
