Mr. Gonser has spent years instructing students and teachers on the use of media applications

JACKSON HEIGHTS, NY, October 18, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Martin H.F. Gonser, Media Specialist, has been named a Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in educational technology. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.

For the last decade, Mr. Gonser has shaped his expertise in information research to coincide with an educational setting. As a media specialist, he is responsible for mentoring teachers and students as they adapt to new technologies in the classroom, and providing instruction on how to resolve technological problems. In addition, Mr. Gonser serves as a webmaster for the Walden University chapter of Phi Delta Kappa International, and a director of technology for Long Island University. For his demonstrated excellence in his field, Mr. Gonser was selected for inclusion in the first chapter of Cambridge Publishing's Top 101 Industry Experts publication. Likewise, he was chosen to appear in a two-page spread for the premiere edition of Pro-Files magazine.

Mr. Gonser is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in educational technology from Walden University, having already obtained two master's degrees in information science and music education, and a Bachelor of Science in music and religious studies. He maintains affiliation with the New York State Association for Computers and Technologies in Education, the American Library Association, and the International Society for Technology in Education. In the future, Mr. Gonser hopes to encourage nontraditional learners to utilize new applications.
