Utilizing 37 years of his professional experience, Mr. Hoppe specializes in application development. As the Director of Stratasys Inc. Applications Engineering Department, he manages, helps with sales, works with customers and develops software and hardware products. He attained his position with the company after completing his high school education and gaining an additional 17 years of manufacturing experience in the CNC Machinery industry. In addition, he managed a Prototyping CNC machine shop business. Stratasys Inc. manufactures 3D printers and 3D Production Systems, rapid prototyping and direct digital manufacturing systems. It invented its patented Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) technology in 1988 and has led the development of 3D print technology ever since. It uses its FDM technology in both its Dimension 3D printers, as well as its FORTUS 3D Production systems, developed for direct digital manufacturing and precision rapid prototyping. 3D printers build 3D models layer by layer starting on a flat surface of acrylic and extrude ABS plastic, one of the most widely used thermoplastics in today's injection-molded products. Today it offers many types of plastic that can build 3D models for performance in high temperatures, chemical resistant, and medical applications. They allow designers in the manufacturing environment to evaluate design concepts and test models for form, fit and functionality. FORTUS 3D Production systems construct the most accurate and durable prototypes and parts using high performance thermoplastics and offer the largest build size and maximum throughput. In the manufacturing world of today, they can use FORTUS systems for actual end use parts on customer products. RedeyeRPM by Stratasys Inc., a digital manufacturing service, is the world's largest service provider of concept models, end use parts and for many different manufacturing applications. With over 100 plus systems globally and 15 materials to choose from, Redeye can handle any project, large or small, with accuracy, speed and efficiency.

Holding over 180 granted or pending additive fabrication patents globally, Stratasys products are used in the aerospace, defense, automotive, medical business, industrial equipment, education, architecture and consumer product markets.
